The Brief

PR masters and all ‘round bloody good eggs Wonderland Comms had a barmy and brilliant idea to make ‘Meat Massage’ a thing for Bull’s-Eye BBQ sauce. No, not like that, get your mind out the gutter…

They wanted a film that they could use for press sell in, and social to promote a real life pop up event happening at the Truman Brewery over the Summer.

The Creative

Authenticity was key to the core audience so my job as director was to make that happen as much as I could. We converted a clean white empty space into a backyard BBQ joint and commandeered a chef to handle the meat with real expertise on camera. Behind the scenes there was a top butcher lovingly creating fresh cuts for each take.

The Results

The campaign touched the press in all the right places and got coverage in Timeout, Ladbible and plenty of local London based event press. The event drew in the crowds and The Persuaders (a creative food and events outfit) delivered over 1600 meaty, saucy samples over 2 days.
