This was Yorkshire Tea’s first foray into social video so the brief was deliciously broad. Create a brand awareness piece, celebrate tea, make it authentic.
The Creative
I’m a firm believer that there’s not a lot that a decent cup of tea can't fix, and this quirky folk song felt like the perfect brand piece. This is the ultimate break up video, and our protagonist is just a little bit extra. This one shot film features some of the Internet’s favourite things. The Results
500,000 views 75% organic traffic through sharing, as well as being picked up and endorsed by celebrity types such as Rufus Hound, Sarah Millican, Jason Manford & Hollywood actor / professional Australian Russell Crowe. It also drove 17,450 Facebook interactions at launch.
